I would like to pay for my order at the store not in the app but there is no option for that so I will not be using this app until there is.
Have used the app four or five times on the road, and the experience is always the same. They cook your food immediately, not near your pickup time. Fries are done when you arrive, so if the store is dead its a ten minute wait for your scalding fries and ice cold burger, dripping with fat that has had time to puddle. If the place is busy you still have to check in with the cashier. Some stores make you wait in line, others ignore you...every visit using the app has been a disaster. It is just not integrated into the store work flow.
This is a good app and I have used it several times. It is straight to the point and easy to use. But, I am very strict gluten free (Celiac Disease) and think there should be a place for the user to type in special instructions. When I go in the store to order, they always note that I have an "allergy," but it makes me nervous ordering on the app because there is no place to note that.
Ive ordered from the Five Guys website before and this app has the same UX as that. Nothing fancy; it gets the job done. Theres no extra fee when placing an order. Not sure what that other reviewer was talking about. Would be nice if you could photograph your credit card instead of manually entering it.
After spending 15 minutes to enter my large family pick-up order and enter my credit card information, the app refused to actually place it because it thought that the restaurant was closed. It was not closed. I had to drive to the store, place my order, and then stand around waiting for 15 minutes for them to make the stuff. Highly annoying. There also doesnt seem to be a way to specify how you want the burger cooked…"well done" for instance, not that Ill ever use it again anyway...
Ive had no problems with this app. It is stable and easy to use. Its great to be able to save a favorite meal, order it and pay with a saved CC in just a few taps. This is so much more convenient, efficient and accurate than calling the restaurant! Also, the prices ARE THE EXACT SAME as ordering in person, so Im not sure what the other reviewer was referencing.
Just because it says its completed, doesnt mean its ready. They will always put a wait on web orders, in store people get their food first.
Let me start by saying I think 5 Guys web ordering form is one of the best out there. It allows you to specify how much of a particular item you want (eg heavy mayo, light lettuce, etc). This app doesnt have any of that. It needs a lot of work before Ill use this app at all, because part of the 5 Guys experience is getting the burger exactly the way you want it, this doesnt do that. If this app was like the web order system, Ill change my review.
Still had to wait for my food. They also got my order wrong. And they didnt give me the fries they usually give me. Im deleting the app and will never use it again.
App allows you to easily place an order in advance and effortlessly just go in and pick it up at a Five Guys location. Id really like to see Five Guys add Apple Pay support so that I dont have to enter in my credit card info or store it.
Wouldnt order. Wouldnt say what the problem was. Just kept saying to call the restaurant and place the order by phone. Deleted the app. Ill just order from someplace whos app works.
So frustrating! More times than not, you spend a lot of time entering all of your order information and credit card info and then it "cant connect and wont submit." GRR.
Ordering couldnt be easier! I save our regular orders as favorites and I push 3 buttons and its ordered and paid for. I like that its easy to completely customize my burger.
I use this app for ordering on a weekly basis - for than a year - with no problems. The wait when you arrive for pick-up is for just cooked fries. Whats missing is an option on the app to order fries without salt. In the meantime, I continue to inform them of this necessity upon pick-up arrival.

First impressions are everything, and this app is super intuitive and customizable. So what you cant order extra mayo (see other review)? You dont need it, big guy :) I can order in the app and pickup my food pretty much at a guaranteed time. What else do you people want?? Stop crying and grow up in 2016, yeah?
